“Protect Our Kids” Urges Parents To Ask These

7 Questions As Children Head Back To School

Coalition focused on protecting children from harmful indoctrination in public schools sounds alarm about ongoing violations of student and parental rights

Not long ago, the back-to-school season was filled with exciting anticipation as children embarked on a fresh new learning adventure. However, in recent years, schools have become ground zero in an attempt to fundamentally transform America. Traditional academics, like reading, writing and arithmetic, have been replaced with agenda-driven curricula to reform the values of our youth, and less to provide them with the critical building blocks of a liberal education. California-based nonprofit organization Protect Our Kids (POK) is a coalition of parents, community leaders, attorneys, physicians, pastors and teachers united in the belief that public schools today have co-opted education to advance ideological and political narratives. POK was formed to raise parental awareness when these educational changes first surfaced in the Golden State. It has since advanced its mission nationwide as this education indoctrination agenda has rolled out across the country.

In an effort to empower parents as their children’s primary educators, POK is providing Back-to-School Questions Every Parent Should Ask, a comprehensive free guide consisting of seven questions every parent should ask of their kids’ school before sending them there.  In this resource, POK sheds light on the harmful worldview taught today in public education. This worldview advances the sexualization of our children, the falsity of unlimited, fluid, and non-binary genders, the promotion of Marxist Critical Theory ideology, and the “re-framing” of American History for political purposes.

“From the time of our founding, conversations that revolved around such topics were primarily the role of families, specifically parents. But now we are moving to a one-size-fits-all application for school discussions on matters of personal values and religious conscience,” said Katie McCarthy, Director of Marketing for POK. “Schools should not raise up a generation of monolithic thinkers who all vote a particular way. This goes against the very principles of the founding of our country.”

In addition to these Back-to-School Questions Every Parent Should Ask, POK provides valuable free resources to help bring parents up to speed on the radical agenda that is sweeping public schools across the nation. These include brochures, podcasts, and videos on public school threats including Sex & Gender Theory, Critical Race Theory (CRT), Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and Pornographic & Racially Divisive Library Books. POK also provides toolkits and resources to help parents navigate this divisive landscape.  Resources are available at www.ProtectOurKidsNow.org.

“Lincoln warned that the philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of the government in the next. If that’s true, then the specter of America’s schools turning into ideological indoctrination camps is a flashing red signal. It’s time for parents of school-aged children to wake up to these threats before it’s too late,” explained POK founder and president, Mark Schneider.
