Amazing Parish Unveils Leadership Manifesto for Pastors and Church Leaders

“Rebuild My Church” white paper outlines the core beliefs behind the apostolate’s proven model for forming healthy, effective parish leadership and fostering parish renewal

Now in its second decade of ministry, Amazing Parish has released Rebuild My Church: A Call for Renewal, a white paper outlining six principles at the heart of the Church’s mission and challenging parish leaders to intentionally shape their culture for evangelization. Born from more than a decade of collaboration and coaching with pastors and their teams, it captures the practices and insights guiding renewal in parish communities and hearts.

“It comes as no surprise that the Church is facing many challenges today, from fewer priests and Catholics to shrinking parishes. At Amazing Parish, we work alongside parish leaders who are on the front lines, confronting these difficulties every day. We’ve had the profound privilege of accompanying over 1,100 pastors as they work to renew and transform their parishes – and we see that God is doing something beautiful in the Church right now,” said Executive Director Tim Glemkowski. “As we’ve reflected on this work, one thing has become clear: what Amazing Parish carries isn’t just a strategy-  it’s a charism. Rebuild My Church is our effort to share that gift more broadly with the Church.”

The 16-page challenge for parish renewal summarizes six core beliefs most centrally held by Amazing Parish as essential to understanding renewal for the Church:

  • The Church exists to evangelize

  • The Church is living in a change of era

  • Renewal has to take place in the parish

  • The pastor’s leadership is irreplaceable

  • Leadership is a team sport

  • Culture is the soil of mission

“The process offered by Amazing Parish provides a thoughtful and hope-filled pathway toward genuine parish renewal. It is grounded in a sincere desire to deepen discipleship, strengthen community, and ignite a vibrant missionary spirit,” said Julianne Stanz, Director of Parish Life and Evangelization for the Diocese of Green Bay, WI and a consultant to the USCCB Committee on Catechesis and Evangelization. “With its emphasis on intentional strategy, responsible leadership, and solid formation, the approach creates a strong foundation for fruitful and lasting transformation. By surrounding pastors, parish staff, key volunteers, and the faithful with a clear structure for renewal, Amazing Parish offers the concrete guideposts needed to support real, sustainable change in our communities.”

Currently available here, Rebuild My Church will be unpacked in April through a companion conversational video series featuring Tim Glemkowski, Amazing Parish staff, and Church leaders discussing how the vision can be applied in local parish contexts.

The principles of Rebuild My Church will also guide Amazing Parish’s upcoming Leadership Summit, scheduled for August 3–5, 2026, in Houston, TX. Seats are limited, and all clergy, seminarians, diocesan staff, and lay leaders are invited to attend.
