Heroic Men Summit Announces “The Gospel of Work” As Theme of September Event

Heroic Men Summit Takes Men from Surviving to Thriving

in their Careers with “The Gospel of Work” Event

Registration is now open for the FREE two hour online event for men
featuring Matthew Kelly, Jeff Joaquin, and Andreas Widmer

The Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance (CMLA), an organization focused on strengthening men and their relationship with Jesus Christ, announced its next virtual summit designed to help men leave behind burnout and build a better future through a robust passion for the work they do every day. The Heroic Men Summit, themed “The Gospel of Work,” will take place on September 9, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT.  This free online-only event will feature three powerhouse speakers–Matthew Kelly, Jeff Joaquin, and Andreas Widmer– who will tackle the tough questions of work and how to meet God there.

“The vast majority of our waking hours are spent grinding away at work. We want men to find God easily during those hours while building a future filled with hope. The Heroic Men Summit will not only give fresh perspective, but it will launch you into a new way of looking at your career,” said Dan Donaldson, Vice President of the Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance.

The Heroic Men Summit will feature three dynamic speakers focused on inspiring men to virtue and launching them on the path of discipleship, all while building their careers and a future of abundance. Each featured speaker will present for 20-30 minutes with opportunity for small group collaboration following.

Having dedicated his life to helping people and organizations become the best versions of themselves, internationally acclaimed speaker, author, and business consultant Matthew Kelly is proud to join the speaking lineup.  Best known to Catholics as the founder of The Dynamic Catholic Institute, a non-profit organization that develops world-class resources that inspire people to rediscover the genius of Catholicism, Kelly will speak on “Getting Through the Grind.”

Jeff Joaquin is a member of the Board of Directors for Paradisus Dei, a ministry that provides the That Man Is You! (TMIY) program to more than 800 U.S. parishes and abroad.  Actively involved in spreading TMIY programs for the last 14 years on a local, regional, and national level, Joaquin will speak straight to men’s hearts with his talk “Building A Better World.”

Lastly, Andreas Widmer is excited to share “The Gospel of Work” with participants, drawing insight from his time as a member of the Swiss Guard under Pope John Paul II and as a teacher and mentor at The Catholic University of America’s Busch School of Business, where he serves as Director of the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship.

“We believe that work has a much deeper meaning. Work can be liberating. It should infuse you with purpose. It is a means of sanctification,” said Widmer. “This is the good news that we want to shout out from the tallest skyscrapers and into the deepest valleys!”

The September Summit is supported by a special new partnership with Give, Send, Go, a Christ-centered crowdfunding platform that helps organizations raise money for specific causes and needs.  Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance backs more than 100 men’s conferences across the U.S. and Canada, events that all rely on fundraising to make up the difference in operating costs not covered by registration fees.  As the world leader in freedom fundraising, Give, Send, Go is partnering with CMLA to provide free coaching on fundraising so that ministries get the most from their campaigns and the platform.

“The Gospel of Work” event will be recorded for later viewing, and a small group discussion guide is available for groups of men who want to experience the event as a community.  The Heroic Men Summit is free of charge and offers networking and live chat opportunities for all who register.

  1. The registration link does not work.
    Are there similar organizations for women?
    Catholic women do work outside the home too;
    they face challenges in the work place too, not just at home,
    and would benefit from support and networking with their Catholic sisters.
