Salve Ignitum Today Readers!
On August 14, 2010, Catholic Stand was founded and launched by Stacy Trasancos, with Tito Edwards as a co-founder. We had a vision of young adult bloggers being given a platform to offer their knowledge on our Catholic faith. Stacy Trasancos has moved on and a successor of Chief Editors have come to manage this website, Christina M. Sorrentino being our current Chief Editor. I myself, Tito Edwards, still operate the website and have remained behind the scenes ever since.
Ignitum Today (IT) is operated under the ‘Little Vatican‘ banner. Little Vatican is the umbrella organization that also operates The American Catholic (TAC) and Catholic Stand (CS) with similar formats (bloggers defending/explaining the faith) but in different arenas (politics & current issues). In addition, Little Vatican also operates Big Pulpit and FŒDVS, which creates additional traffic, i.e., visitors to expand the readership of all three platforms. Over the years, while operating Little Vatican, I have gradually transitioned from my Warehousing job to evangelizing full time.
I have studiously endeavored to maximize all the tools available to me, mostly freeware, to publish Ignitum Today with. Adding advertising has allowed Little Vatican to invest in more elegant software to create a pleasurable reading and browsing experience for Ignitum Today visitors and readers.
Today I am launching the very first fundraising campaign to augment and elevate that experience so Little Vatican can keep up with all the changes in technology and the economy.
All six websites generate an aggregate of 10,000+ unique visitors each day. That is quite an accomplishment for having invested zero money. Our target for Little Vatican is to reach $2,000 per month in donations. If only 400 of the 10,000 unique visitors were to contribute $5 per month each, we can reach the target above. Of course, you can commit to $10, $20, $100, etc. Whatever amount you wish.
Anything you donate on a per month basis is greatly appreciated. If and when we reach that target, you will see the results of your donations well before the end of the year on all six websites.
