Looking for Fun Faith, Family, and Friends Activities?

I have so many fond memories of playing board games with family members, friends, and my youth group, when I was younger. It is a great way to connect, spark conversation, and learn more about each other. Sophia Press is offering two new releases to help you build community.

1) Are you ready for mission impossible, early Church style? You are invited to set forth on an adventure in the Journeys of St. Paul. Early Christians needed formation and affirmation in the faith. Without helpers, St. Paul’s letters couldn’t reach the Churches. Your task is to sneak the letters through the gates of Rome. Sound easy? You will encounter the wilderness, desert, and the Roman Legion—who persecute Christians and want to capture you. Do you have the skill and courage to clandestinely take the letters to their secret destinations?

The game includes:

1 Game board

6 Messenger Pawns

200 Challenge Cards

18 Roman Legion Tokens

30 Keys (six of each color)

1 Manual

This game is recommended for ages 8 and up. It is designed for 2 to 6 players.

The expected release date is April 26, 2022. Pre-order here.

2) Know Thyself: The Game of Temperament is interactive and enlightening. It was created by Laraine Bennett, who authored several books, including The Temperament God Gave You: The Classic Key to Knowing Yourself, Getting Along with Others, and Growing Closer to the Lord, and The Temperament God Gave Your Spouse: Improve your marriage by understanding your spouse, also available from Sophia Institute Press. She also helped create the popular TemperamentQuiz.com.

This game will reveal hidden facets of your personality—and those of your fellow players. Discover the characteristics of the four temperaments: phlegmatic, melancholic, choleric, and sanguine. This game will help you grow in self-knowledge, as the game cards provide clues about your personality. You will also grow in understanding the personality types of family, friends, and co-workers—with all of their positive attributes and idiosyncrasies!

Best of all, you will have fun as you:

• Realize your attributes based on your temperament
• See what makes your friends and family who they are
• Learn to identify the personality traits that you were born with
• Develop knowledge about human nature, understand, and appreciate your temperament
• Discover why you’re a leader or a follow, an introvert or an extrovert—and much more!

The game includes 450 cards. It is recommended for ages 12 and up, and designed for 4 players.
The expected release date is April 26, 2022. Pre-order here.
