Announce First-Ever Catholic Entrepreneurial Summit

“SENT Summit” will be a launchpad for collaboration among Catholic business leaders

Two innovative and “change-maker” Catholic organizations – University of St. Thomas Houston (UST) and SENT Ventures – have partnered to launch the first-ever innovation conference for Catholic leaders designed to be a world-class, intimate, and ground-breaking experience focused on generating “holy collisions” between participants.

The SENT Summit, to be held May 18-20 on the campus of UST, will bring together more than a hundred Catholic founders, CEOs, and business leaders from all over the country. Attendees will span industries, business maturity, and will include secular businesses led by Catholic CEOs and founders, as well as mission-oriented entrepreneurs and nonprofit founders. The unifying factor among all in attendance will be a common spark for renewal. The SENT Summit will support this movement toward renewal by connecting innovators, seasoned investors, and revolutionary organizations into a holistic ecosystem for the benefit of all.

As the host site, UST is known for its diversity of cultures and faiths, its commitment to collaboration and innovation, and as a pioneer among Catholic universities with the launch of its Esports major in 2020. UST President Dr. Richard Ludwick says:

“Ours is an open university that welcomes people of all faiths and people of no faith. It is because we are Catholic that we must reach out to others of goodwill. We will be leaders in our location, the greater Houston area, and we will be leaders beyond.”

The host and organizer of this event, SENT Ventures, is a network that equips Spirit-led founders, CEOs, and business leaders to pursue holiness and advance the Kingdom of God by building world-changing ventures. This is done through a unique membership community, mentorship, Fellowship program, events, community platform, and now, the Summit.

“Our goal at SENT is to unleash a Spirit-led entrepreneurial movement that reawakens people everywhere to the transforming power of the Catholic Church,” says SENT Founder John Cannon. “This event is going to give this vision major momentum and will be an amazing opportunity not just for entrepreneurs to meet and collaborate, but for all of us together to invite the Holy Spirit to move through our ventures to really make an impact.”

The three-day event will feature small group workshops to develop ideas and hone pitch delivery, breakout sessions led by Catholic leaders such as Deacon Charlie Echeverry of Black/Brown and Juan Acosta of Tabella, keynote addresses from CEOs such as Alex Jones of Hallow, multiple forums for networking, and daily Mass with additional opportunities for adoration and reconciliation.  To request an invitation and receive event updates, visit SENT Ventures.
